GroovyKids® Yoga is a course for children, specially designed to improve co-ordination and flexibility while they stretch and strengthen their bodies. Practising yoga in a fun and safe environment can help empower the child to manage and improve their own powers of concentration, focus and awareness.
The classes are very active and including fast movements, standing poses, arm balances, backbends and forward bends. Kids can really enjoy meditating, so classes always end with some stillness and a song or chant.
The class is designed for children 4-10 years of age, but younger children are welcome too. Teacher Céline Descombe of Devon School of Wellbeing.
